Truth on Trial
I met my fate in distilled truth,
I meet my fate in truth distilled.
It is what the living say,
It is what the living do.
Of the ways plenty I find,
Neither in drudgery,
Nor through reason,
Though the reason
being the reason,
For this reason,
I cannot be found in
my body, mind and soul.
As human consciousness to limitless ocean,
Manhood to immaculate ash reduce.
However singular might seem,
Line from a vantage.
It is another among many
Lines in parallel running.
Just like our lives.
How suave is the thought,
Meagre in ways.
The only way fraught with
Emotions wrangled.
For a transcendence greater
Than one with perception limited,
Limited is the perception of human transcendence.
Of my past and subsequent descendance,
Through my existence,
Inanimate and ornate.
Of all the traces I never will find,
Than one of being human.
For every significance lost to its moment,
Every moment is lost in its significance.
We will be found
In our body, mind and soul.
In this perpetuation of precedence and succession,
We call ‘life’.
Not as us,
Not subsumed in another being.
But as event of events,
Beside other events.
For this event,
I can be found in my body, mind and soul.
Like you, in yours.
In this moment however small,
Let my heart to thee sing,
As thine to mine.
Demarcation Lines
When silence at my door
silence preach,
And doth not provide
a straightforward inception.
When reasons themselves deride
And possibilities of possibility speak,
I merrily chance upon the other side.
It is funny how death of meaning
defines meaning,
And these words ever so hopeful
begins with castrated faith.
I need no God greater to save me,
No woes entrenched.
It is care within care
Why don’t you see?
To have two drongos perched on a fencing pole,
To see them quite differently.
As something separate.
I think in systems of system,
My vision is visionless.
Chasing that formless dream,
Rendering time, timeless.
This desire to splinter
Figment of reality.
But drongos are birds,
Their vision in me herald,
Notion of absolute singularity.
I seek not to be ‘unique’ numbers on vehicle plates,
The numbers merely rearranged.
It is precisely because drongos are birds,
Their sight gains traction of precedence.
The sight preceding my thoughts,
And drongos being drongos as
much as they are birds.
Nothing is absolute,
Nothing is singular.
Hence, I cross the other side,
The one bearing futility.
The other side is a moment of compassion,
The other side being one of great difficulty.
The other side is normalcy returned,
The other side is my depth deepening.
The other side is when I feel
the care within care,
Of being bound to systems of system.
To construe my body’s sagacity,
To be led deeper,
To experience the Lord ‘not-so-merciful’
In my being,
Over recurring faith.
Reality
Reality is not reality conceived.
When one man’s concern is another’s liability. When a man’s ignorance is another’s source of turmoil.
I feel my fate both far and in between.
Reality is not really reality contrived.
What must bear this reality? Pray tell me. Is it the sheer magnitude of will? The reckoning of soul?
What is fate if not for desire and expectation exemplified?
Let no grand commune with the divine, no idolatry fate.
Let no passive incapacitation of our abilities save for this experience of experiencing reality at the moment’s notice:
Save me,
Save us.
I feel the distance in bonds not formally breached.
Every destination being just a temporal visitation.
It’s when I feel the reason being drained of all its reasons.
No reasoning behind how thousand miniature needles can fill the hole of a needle. By which I mean the crowded paths of purpose, the radical dissatisfaction with the similarities and dissimilarities of shared mankind.
This struggle for absolute singularity.
It’s when I finally let the form choose me and, in this formlessness, I write of my shared humility.
